Hotwell
New bespoke hotwell, designed, manufactured, and supplied by Thorne International Boiler Services Ltd. in 2023 to a UK based EfW plant as part of improvement project.
Hotwell designed to receive preheated feedwater at 65°C and deliver feedwater to existing watertube boilers at 85°C barg with a duty / flowrate of 50,000 kg/h.

- Hotwell designed in accordance with TIBS standards, including structural calculations and vent calculations.
3D scan of area completed to ensure successful integration into available space and piping hook-up.
Supplied together with integration into existing piping network, manual control valves and instrumentation to control feedwater temperature.
Steam injection system utilises three spray nozzles within hotwell.
Supplied by Thorne International Boiler Services Ltd., including installation,
commissioning and testing.
